Introduction to the Spa Industry - 8 week online course – January 12 – March 8, 2015
RLA Global Managing Partner North America, Janice Gronvold is lead instructor for certificate program in Spa and Hospitality Management for the University of California, Irvine. This required course provides an overview of the evolution of the spa industry from ancient civilizations to a global industry evolving new frontiers of convergence integrating spas, medicine, health care, tourism, and hospitality. From an international perspective, a review of international leading projects, concepts, services and environments are profiled through a multi-media format and case study assignments.
Articulation agreements between the University of California Irvine and University of Houston, Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management and Australia’s Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology Master of Wellness program provide credit transfers for students pursuing undergraduate and post graduate degree programs in wellness, international tourism, spa, and hotel management.
