Our Group CEO Roger Allen, VP of Strategic Health and Wellness Simon Lee Saunders and Tourism and Hospitality Strategy Analyst Annamaria Karcz travelled to Cyprus for a two-day working session focused on zoning concepts, amenity planning and development strategy for a mixed-use project that, on completion, is expected to set a new benchmark for integrated resort development in the Eastern Mediterranean.
The workshop brought together a multi-disciplinary team of international and local specialists. Masterplanning and design input was provided by Sasaki: Michael Grove, Ming-jen Hsueh and Gandong Cai; alongside branded residences expert Peter Grmek from GBR. The local architecture practice UDS provided essential expertise in navigating Cyprus's legal and permitting framework, ensuring that the project's ambitions remain grounded in regulatory reality.
Over two intensive days, the group worked through the core strategic and spatial questions that will shape the development's long-term direction, from land use and zoning to the amenity mix and guest experience concept.
The project remains confidential at this stage, but RLA Global can confirm that a further workshop is planned for July, with the development expected to move into the next phase of planning shortly thereafter.
"The workshop brought together a strong group around the table. GBR, our strategic partner on branded residences, and the Sasaki team, with whom we are building a great working relationship on this project, made for a genuinely productive two days. The client was delighted with the outcomes - and their hospitality, as always, made it a pleasure to be there," - said Roger Allen.
